Transition metal catalyzed cross-coupling reactions are one of the most important and widely used reactions in modern organic synthesis. In this presentation, you will learn about a newly developed class of phosphine ligands targeting a relatively underexplored type of cross-coupling reaction.
MPhos is a novel class of ferrocene-based unsymmetrical ligands. Along with their corresponding PdCl2 pre-catalysts, these ligands are employed for a variety of Csp2-Csp3 couplings reactions such as Murahashi-Feringa, Kumada-Corriu, Negishi and Suzuki-Miyaura. Various substrates include “drug-like” molecules to demonstrate its potential applications in API synthesis. The details of the study will be discussed in the presentation.
