Celebrate Your Outstanding Programming!

ACS ChemLuminary Awards honor the best examples of programming, outreach, and operations from ACS local sections, technical divisions, regional meetings, and international chemical sciences chapters.

Officers should submit ChemLuminary Awards nominations through Community Connection as part of the ACS Annual Report. The nomination period is November 1 to February 15.

How to Nominate

All ChemLuminary Awards nominations should be submitted by local section, technical division and international chemical sciences chapter officers via the Annual Report. Please contact the officers of your group to inquire about submitting a nomination.

The 25th Annual ChemLuminary Awards ceremony was held at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis, Salon 8-9, on Tuesday, August 15. The celebration began with a poster session and reception, followed by the presentations of awards given by 22 committees of the Society, and the event will concluded with a dance social.

Sunny C. Tang, President of the AllPeopleBeHappy foundation, on behalf of Mamie W. Moy, University of Houston, recipient of the 2023 Award for Volunteer Service to the American Chemical Society, will delivered the keynote address. This year's theme, "Harnessing the Power of Our Volunteers," honored our volunteers' work to continue improving all people's lives through the transforming power of chemistry.
