Travel & Project Grants and Awards
The Committee on Corporation Associates provides funding for ACS Local Sections and International Chapters to promote industry-focused events at the local section and international chapter level. Events can range from job fairs with local chemical employers, résumé writing workshops, networking receptions, hosted panel discussions with industry leaders and other similar forums to benefit those local section and international chapter members employed in industry.
Sponsored by the ACS Committee on International Activities (IAC), the Global Innovation Grants assists ACS Technical Divisions, Local Sections, International Chapters and Committees with travel, projects and events.
Grants between $1,000 and $5,000 USD are available annually (pending budget approval) to catalyze new international collaborations and partnerships dedicated to solutions to global challenges.

The mission of Global Innovation Imperatives (Gii) is to create community and knowledge transfer to stimulate global scientific innovation that meets societal imperatives. The program was originally started and implemented by ACS in collaboration with the U.K.-based Society of Chemical Industry. Now administered solely by the ACS, the Gii program fosters creative solutions to imperatives of global significance (e.g., clean water, food and health, etc.).

Open to all ACS Student Chapters, ACS International Student Chapters, and ACS Graduate Student Organizations (ACS GSOs) members to attend and participate in professional conferences, like an ACS Meeting, by covering associated registration fees, lodging, and/or transportation costs for one or more students.
Your group can request up to $200 for a virtual conference, $500 for an in-country meeting (within the country your group is located), or $2000 for an out-of-country conference (requiring travel to another country) to support chapter members attendance. Amount of grant is subject to change. Preference will be given to applications that are received at least three months before the conference begins.

ACS Student Communities Engagement Grant
To support student community outreach events, member engagement, career and professional development, or group growth. You may request up to $1,000 to build and strengthen your community and increase the unity of your group. Funding is limited and you may receive this award up to two times per year.

ACS Student Communities DEIR Grant
To support professional development endeavors intended to increase and support the ACS Core Value of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Respect (DEIR) within Student Chapters, International Student Chapters, and Graduate Student Organizations. The goal of this grant is to help create more inclusive and respectful spaces within ACS student communities. Applicants can apply to receive funds for DEIR professional development opportunities, such as courses, training, materials, etc.

Pittsburgh Conference on Analytical Chemistry and Applied Spectroscopy (Pittcon) Travel Grant
Since 1995, the ACS Committee on International Activities (IAC) has worked with Pittcon and the Wallace Coulter Foundation to facilitate participation at the conference by early career analytical chemists from developing countries. Funding from Pittcon and its sponsoring organizations subsidizes the travel costs of attendees and also provides complimentary conference registration and complimentary hotel rooms for the participants. Nominees represent industry, government, and academia.
