Thailand Chapter
The ACS International Chemical Sciences Chapter in Thailand was founded in March of 2011 by ACS members living in Thailand. The principal mission of the Chapter is to provide an opportunity for ACS members in Thailand to interact with each other for the purpose of creating stronger professional relationship with ACS Units, such as other International Science Chapters and ACS Divisions, helping the Society to accomplish its international strategic plans, fortifying the interaction between the ACS and the Thai society.
Accomplishments
- Co-organized the first "joint ACS AGFD-ACS ICSCT Symposium on Agricultural and Food Chemistry”, Bangkok, Thailand
- Continuing project “Science Café@schools: Food Chemistry for Life”. The project goal was to encourage students majoring in Science to be further aware of the significance of science in their lives.
- Science Festival, organized in conjunction with Education Fair and Exhibition and hosted by Siam University.
- A seminar “How to use international experience to be more competitive in the global chemistry enterprise” was presented to undergraduate/graduate students as well as ACS Thailand chapter members by ACS team at Siam University.
