Award at a Glance
Purpose
To recognize up to eight individuals* in the second year and above of their graduate studies or undertaking post-doctoral research. The applicants must perform research in the areas of organic chemistry, synthetic methodology, total synthesis, medicinal chemistry, computational chemistry or chemical biology.

Description
Awardees will present their research at an awards symposium during the ACS Spring Meeting. They will receive a $1,500 stipend to cover ACS Spring Meeting travel expenses and be recognized at the WCC ‘Just Cocktails’ reception and at the WCC Luncheon.
Eligibility
Individuals* in their second year and above in their graduate studies and postdoctoral researchers in the areas of organic chemistry, synthetic methodology, total synthesis, medicinal chemistry, computational chemistry, and chemical biology.
Only U.S. citizens and permanent residents are eligible.
The following will be requested in the application:
- Your resume or C.V. (include permanent address)
- A brief cover letter detailing how this award will impact your career in science (1 page)
- Your proposed abstract submission for the WCC/Pfizer Emergent Leader Award Symposium
- A letter from your advisor commenting on your technical ability and potential, as well as confirming your participation at the ACS Spring meeting at which you will be making your presentation, if selected
